The Ministry of Transportation and Communications is divided into the Departments of Railways and Highways, Posts and Telecommunications, and Navigation and Aviation; the Civil Aeronautics Administration; the Tourism Bureau; the Central Weather Bureau; the Taiwan Area National Freeway Bureau; the Engineering Office of Taipei Railway Underground Project; the Taiwan Area National Expressway Engineering Bureau; the Engineering Office of Highspeed Rail; and the Institute of Transportation. This ministry also manages public enterprises such as the Directorate General of Telecommunications and the Directorate General of Posts.
